Please, do not book your flight to visit us in Mallorca without first contacting us for an appointment! Our senior consultant who sees all clients for their first consultation is often away in other places, and we hate to disappoint. We can also see clients in the UK by appointment.
If you’re thinking of getting married
A lot of cynics would say ‘don’t!’ Ignore them. At the end of the day it’s your wedding and not your families’ - although many tend to forget that.
If, on the other hand, you would like everything to proceed with military precision with no cock-ups along the way, forget it! Such a wedding doesn’t exist and never has. If there are no last minute panics then you haven’t really been married. Sure there’s a lot of pressure for everything to unfold with the flourish and spectacle of a Buzby Berkley musical number but that is getting away from the point of getting married. This isn’t a Hollywood production or Trooping of the Colour - it’s your wedding.
What we do is to make sure that the inevitable panics are managed and dealt with in an atmosphere of ‘can do’ and good humour. The number of things that can go wrong rise exponentially with the number of guests. It’s probable that at some point the number of problems will cross the curve of the number of guests but we haven’t reached that point yet and hopefully never will.
What we do is to manage expectations and deliver a wedding that everyone will enjoy; unruffle any ruffled feathers; calm any anxieties; manage anyone who has got a little too emotional or out of hand; skirt round any family difficulties diplomatically and allow you, the couple, to enter into that heady mix of emotion, spiritual encounter, solemnity and sheer fun that should mark any wedding day.
There’s a lot of running around on a wedding day and masses of preparation beforehand, we manage that. We know who delivers and who doesn’t, can get the best deals, match budget to expectation and generally take the stress out of the whole process.
Having said that, occasionally we get a bride, or more often a bride’s mother, who has an unsustainable hope that she will be able to sit on a sun lounger for a week beforehand, being pampered, greeting her arriving guests with a languid handshake and have not a care in the World. That is going too far the other way. This is at the end of the day an encounter with a lifetime commitment to each other, the meaning of vows and the realisation of what love means to you both, with all that entails. There will be no other day like it in the whole of your lives.
We take care of the logistics, but you both make the effort to put heart and soul into the event. Get the ceremony right and whatever the budget, the reception will be a howling success. Exercise your humour muscles, you will need them over the coming decades.
Marriage is like mountaineering, often a lot of work, but the sense of achievement and view from the top cannot be surpassed.

Normally we organise all the marriage papers and administration / translations between UK and Mallorca religious and secular authorities. We arrange the wedding with an English-speaking priest, and discuss with you things like preferred readings, hymns, music etc as required. We organise both Anglican / Church of England weddings and Roman Catholic marriage ceremonies.
We advise on any legal requirements and papers. Because we have a base on the island as well as in UK, we are able to keep up to date with changing legislation etc.
As we are not licensed for travel, you will need to arrange your own flights, but we can find and suggest suitable flights at the best prices for you so all you have to do is ring up and book.
We also arrange as required:
- for those who wish it, up to three days' location visit in Mallorca to meet and discuss finer points and arrangements, and a tour around our beautiful island showing you the best hotels for your taste and budget
- insurance for weddings and receptions in UK and overseas
- meeting at the airport and transport for client and guests to their hotel(s)
- flowers for church, guests and bride
- wedding rehearsal
- transport from hotel to Church (see selection of Churches)
- transport from Church to wedding reception
- choir, soloist, organ etc as required for ceremony
- transport back to airport
- photography / video
